Baby Sacks/Gowns/Layette

I still am not sure what name I prefer when talking about baby gowns.
To me, gown sounds too feminine.
And, well, lets just face it...
Sack sounds too masculine.

And layette? Sounds fancy but old fashioned.

So, I am just all around undecided.

What is your preference?
What word do you use when referring to these wonderful little aricles of clothing???

When Ava was a newborn, up to about 4 months, she slept in these things EVERY NIGHT! I loved them more than anything. Well, besides the swaddle blankets! So easy to change diapers, and just so comfortable.

But there was one problem...

They weren't cute.
And in this particular phase, comfort and convenience trumped cute.

Now that I am at a place where I can merge comfort and convenience with cute, I take a shot at it. And I am pleased with the results!

Take a looksie...

Which one is your favorite?

We are in the finishing stages of a minky gown for the cooler months too! The top is black and the bottom...well lets just say it has the colors of hot pink, lime, black, and white! Can't wait to show it off!!

These have been our best sellers as far as "coming home outfits" go and boy howdy, I get so excited when I get an email asking to make another custom one, because I so want this collection to multiply!! Just for the love of cuteness!

If you or anyone you know is having a baby, we'd love to make one of these for you! And because we want to increase our selection, we will give you a discount on a custom ordered gown.

What?
A DISCOUNT ON A CUSTOM ORDER?
YOU BETCHA!

We will take 10% off any custom ordered gown. Just shoot us an email at sheshebows@yahoo.com or leave a comment with your email address and let us know what colors/theme you have in mind! We would love to hook you up...and in turn, you will hook us up!

Sounds like a fair tradeoff to me!!

In the meantime...we are officially on "holiday" from processing orders. But I am still around these parts until next Tuesday, when we head to the beautiful coast of Maine until the end of July!

Happy Tuesday:)

Ft. Worth, Texas
After having my girly girl in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on one of a kind boutique, monogrammed clothing (with hairbows to match), I decided it was time to learn this trade myself before I went broke! I learned how to sew, embroider, and make hairbows in a matter of 3 months. What started as a hobby has turned into a dream come true. I quit my job as a teacher and now work from home when the little one sleeps. My life as a mommy and a boutique clothing designer/manufacturer/monogrammer is truly the best of both worlds!! I have big dreams for the future of my family and the future of SheShe Made. Thanks for joining me as I blog about the journey. Let me know if there is a bow or outfit you'd like custom made for you! Email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com and thanks for stopping by!
