Model MONDAY!

This week's model for Model Monday is little miss Savannah.
Her mom found me and emailed, asking if I could make these two dresses as she knew nobody in her area that could make dresses for little girls. She wanted the pillowcase style, so that's what we whipped up for her.

Isn't this sweet of her sleeping beauty?? Love it!

We will be adding this minky dress to our fall collection soon!

Model MONDAY!

Do you remember the bandana pillowcase dress I showed you a while back? It was custom made for this adorable little girl...

And then I made the tractor shirt for this cutie of a big brother!

I just love making things for this family because not only are they cute little sugars, their mom is such a sweet, fun lady to work with and she comes up with some cute ideas.
Thanks for sharing your precious babes with us, Jessica!

Play that Funky Music

So, Ava has been going to music class at my alma mater since she was 7 months old.
Check that little baldy out...

Tonight was TCU's "Family Music Night" and Ava was talking about it all day.
Here she was a year ago today with my mom.

She just loves "moo kick class". I feel she has learned so much from echoing tunes and sounds to rhythm (P.S. that word is a booger to spell EVERY time) and creative movement.

She can even play "Old McDonald" on the guitar.

Psh! If that were the case then I'd say we were FOR SURE getting our money's worth.

So anyway, back to tonight...
We go eat at Panera before the program. And Ava was miss "show off-look at me" while we ate.

She seriously yelled "Hi" "Hoe are you?" (no, I did not misspell that) to everyone within eye sight from her. Being a parent is so embarrassing. I mean I hate to draw attention to myself.
Always have.
I was the type of student that would almost pee my pants in class just to avoid having to get up and walk in front of the classroom or just to be the only one in the room standing, because that meant all eyes were on me. Even if for a brief second. They were still on me and thus, people were "judging" something about me. Insecurity is a big fat ugly wart!
NEVER did I think about this when planning for 15 children.
Wow!!
So, yeah, it's real cool when you hate people looking at you, and your kid yells to get the entire establishment checking you, your parenting skills (or lack thereof), and your naughty child out.
Real cool.

Bad hair day. Humid. Windy. Icky. Again, don't look at me. Look at the cute girl with awesome table manners and a mild spirit.

So, we walk out of Panera and she runs smack dab into the glass entry. OUCH! She looks around to see who sees her to decide if she should cry tears of embarrassment or just keep it together.
If only then, I could have taught her the age old lesson of "what goes around comes around".
But I think she slightly got the idea...ahem.

So, we get to TCU and stop for a photo opp.

She was not impressed.
She wanted in that ballroom to dance..

and dance.

And sing. Or chew on drumsticks. I'll just go with the former because it sounds better.

And then she decided to run away. Can you find her??? It's almost as good as a "Where's Waldo" page.

I like to look at all the other kids just sitting in their parents lap and it truly amazes me that their really are kids that DO THAT?!?!?!
Wow! I haven't the slightest idea about that one.

She makes life interesting and fun.

That is for sure!!

More!

Not much to blog about other than showing some more new things I've done for customers lately.

Girl version of the giraffe minky lovey. The satin is hot pink rather than orange for the boy version.

Another fun little number. Hehe. I made a funny.

I love the way this pillowcase dress turned out! A customer sent me this fabric along with the fabric below and asked us to make her 2 pillowcase dresses because she couldn't find anybody in her home town to make one. We were happy to do so!

We will offer this minky dress in the winter!

Sassy little baby gown. Have I already told you all how SOFT this gown is??? Well, in case I haven't...It is sooo soft!

Sassy little shower gift set. Fun, fun!

Have you checked out the website lately? Many new items have been added, and these you see today will be added within the week. The lady that does my website had to take some items down because it was filled out to the max. This means I am going to have to get someone to build me my own website rather than continue with using Siteskins. YIKES! I don't know where to begin.

A few more new items

I wanted to show you all a few other things I have been working on. These are among some of my favorites. Ha! Is that even necessary to say? It's all my favorite!
Except Elmo.
I'm tired of that monster.
JUST KIDDING! I love to give Elmo smack.
The first two pictures are of things we made for two of my favorite blog readers! So I am excited to share.
Here is the skirt version of the swirl pants I did a few weeks ago. I am so please with how it came out!!

This was made for a sweet, sweet blog reader's daughter and she got the pants as well, for her younger daughter. We enjoyed making these for you, Kelly!

This bandana pillowcase dress turned out super cute for little miss Jilian. I had two friends stop by this weekend and they both had a fit over it. I guess that's a good sign!

Jessica, if you are reading, I know we talked about doing it on the bandana part of the dress, but I had a wild hair and just knew it would stand out more and look so much better down on the cow print. Hope you agree!

Last, is a baby shower gift set I made for a local customer. Audrie's nursery is done in pink and brown and so I picked out these fabrics to go with the color scheme.

I think I want to call this set "Neopolitan". We're going to offer all items for sale on the website, sold separately, since towels are going to soon be offered only for local customers.

We had a fun weekend full of egg hunts and sunshine. I will blog about that tomorrow!

My photo
Ft. Worth, Texas
After having my girly girl in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on one of a kind boutique, monogrammed clothing (with hairbows to match), I decided it was time to learn this trade myself before I went broke! I learned how to sew, embroider, and make hairbows in a matter of 3 months. What started as a hobby has turned into a dream come true. I quit my job as a teacher and now work from home when the little one sleeps. My life as a mommy and a boutique clothing designer/manufacturer/monogrammer is truly the best of both worlds!! I have big dreams for the future of my family and the future of SheShe Made. Thanks for joining me as I blog about the journey. Let me know if there is a bow or outfit you'd like custom made for you! Email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com and thanks for stopping by!
