Model MONDAY!

So, I notice that I always want to start my posts with "So".

And today is THE LAST DAY to order anything under the moon (that we can make, of course) and it will be shipped before July 21st.
You can still order whenever! It just won't get processed (AKA dealt with. handled. looked at. what have you.) until August 1st. At that time I will process all orders on a first come, first served basis.

Cool? Cool!

Sorry, that was random.

Let's get to Model Monday, shall we?

Meet Faith!

Here is miss Faith modeling the birthday number set in pink and brown. Doesn't she look great modeling her SheShe Made birthday attire?

She is just a beautiful little girl!! I think I might have found an older model for SheShe TWEENS. Haha! Love that word. I may be in luck, too, because if I recall, Faith is a local texan too!
Faith's mom is super sweet, very complimentary, and she ordered about 3 other outfits with this set, so I am hoping she will send more pictures soon!

Please note that we can now make sizes up to 8! But we aren't really publicizing that just yet. If you would like an outfit in a size bigger than listed, just click the biggest size, and then put the size you need in a message in paypal. I check it allllll!

Happy Monday!

Now it's off to sew on some bloomer bows and and monogram some towel wraps.

A Great Day to be me!

I had such a wonderful 28th birthday! It really couldn't have been better. Well, maybe if it would have been sunshiney and not rainey. But that didn't really bother me either. There was too much fun to be had!
And, maybe if I would have made myself a "28" birthday shirt.
But I forgot. Maybe next year! ;)
Just in case I needed to say it...I'm just kidding.
My day started with breakfast in bed. Aaron and Ava brought me Kolaches, which are my absolute favorite breakfast food, and they sang to me. It was so sweet to hear Ava sing "Happy Buttday". I'm not trying to be cute. That's just how she says it. It is adorable!
We had plans to go to the children's museum with two of our friends, so we got ready for that, and before we left the doorbell rang.
It was the florist delivering a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I didn't get a picture of them.
Just take my word for it!
The florist knows Aaron by first name as he goes in there to pick out the arrangement and he was just in there for our Anniversary a few weeks ago. He told me he wanted to get me my favorite, hydrangeas, but he couldn't remember what they were called. The florist got out her chart and went through all these names and he said none of them sounded right. To hear him tell the story is hilarious, y'all! He said she mentioned names such as "star faller lillies, gerber babies, and baby breath, and why would you call a flower baby breath?" HA! I give him big points for the effort!
We made it to the museum and had a great time. I told Aaron he could join us girls, but he said he'd rather stay home and clean the messy house from our dinner party the night before. HA HA!! I didn't argue with that.
He secretly likes to clean house but he will never admit it! That wouldn't be portrayed as manly at all!
We had lots of fun at the museum with our friends Boston, Ella Reese, and Charlie.

At one point Ava got into a little cat fight with this other girl at the little pretend grocery store. This little chick had her cart filled to the brim with food, and there was really none on the shelves. So, Ava wanted some to play with, of course. She helped herself over to this girl's cart and reached in to get a piece of cheese.
Yea, that didn't go over so well.

That meanie pushed her away and yelled at her to go away. The momma bear in me wanted to yank her by the ear and tell her meanies don't make friends, but instead I asked her if I could have a piece of her cheese. She gladly gave it to me. I then gave the cheese directly to Ava and told that chick how much more fun it is to share.
But my teacher pep talk didn't help.
Ava continued attempting to steal her cheese.
And she continued to chew Ava out and get physical.
So, we went outside to play in the water with our buddies!

Little Charlie got soaked.
We had a fun time at the museum, but I prefer going when the kids are back in school and there is less of a crowd!
We followed that up with a lunch stop at one of my favorite soup/salad/bakery places and I didn't get any pictures because it was way past nap time and Ava was a royal toot-tail!
We came back home and rested up for our dinner outing later that night with some of my besties.
I chose Cheesecake Factory for dinner and the food is not really that good at all, but I was excited about the dessert. Birthdays are all about the dessert anyway, right??

Mindy and Amanda.

I love these girls! We been friends since middle and high school.

Avery, Mindy's daughter, and Ava.

Ava loved having a little person at dinner to entertain her. I loved it as well! It gave momma and daddy a break!!
I never got a picture of the entire table, and am leaving out some husbands.
My sweet man!

My gift from Aaron and Ava.

I was so excited to get a zoom lens!!! Let's hope I put it to good use!

Birthday cake time!

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I was hoping to get to blow out a candle.
I'm silly like that.
But I like to make wishes.
My wish of blowing out a candle to make a wish came true! Now to see if my candle wish comes true...

Thanks for all of the sweet blog birthday wishes!! I hope you all are having a great weekend.
**Please take note that we will be on "vacation" from processing new orders beginning Monday. If you ordered/order anything before the 13th, it will still turn around within 2-3 weeks. After the 13th, new orders will be processed after August 1st. Thanks for understanding!

Let Freedom Ring!

I hope this post finds you happy, healthy, and proud of the great country we are so blessed to call our own!
We have had such a great weekend, just the three of us!!
We started out the morning (super early. 8am. yes, that is super early in this house) going to the July 4th parade in our home town.
Ava was super pumped about going to the "mermaid". I had to tell her over and over that we were not going to see a mermaid. We were going to see a parade. Haha!

Do you like her "Red, White, and Bouy" outfit?
It was a SheShe Made exclusive. Haha!
I told Ava her dress had stars and bouys on it.
She walked out of her room all dressed and ready to go, went up to Aaron and said "Look dad, stars and boobies!"
Real nice.

Anyway, back to the parade.
Um, do ya think these two could possibly look more alike? And their serious look just cracks me UP!

Ava had so much fun sucking on lollipops and watching the kids drive by and throw candy/wave to her. It rained for a split second, but it didn't rain on our parade (literally, haha) for long!

Some parade highlights...

After the parade, we went home and chilled, made a spaghetti lunch complete with red, white, and blue serving dishes.

Real fancy, huh?!?! I digress. It was lunch.

She's on a salad kick lately.
As far as the mess?
Well, that's nothing new.

After lunch we cleaned up and went to the Cupcake Cottage to get some cupcakes to take to our friends' house for today. They are all red, white, and blue and flavored chocolate, red velvet, pink lemonade, and vanilla. YUM!

After nap, we were ready to party! We went to Lonestar Park to watch the horses race,

get our bounce/slide on,

(Yes, I need a photography lesson in manual focus settings)

to ride the ponies,

love on some goats,

(bless her heart. she needs a lesson on goat anatomy and where NOT to
put her hand)

sing in the rain,

and watch the most amazing firework display we have ever witnessed!

Sidenote: Ava made some friends while we were there. Shoot! The girl makes friends everywhere we go. These 3 siblings were fighting over holding her during the firework show. It was so sweet!

Happy Birthday, America! God Bless the USA!!

Build a Bear Adventures

I figured it was time.
Time to introduce Ava to the world of Build a Bear Workshop.
I've been looking forward to this day for a while now.
I could have just gone to build a bear for myself.
But that would look a little, uh, strange.

I mean isn't it so much fun to have a little one and "use them" to do something childish?
It's much more socially acceptable to slide down slides, eat happy meals, play with blocks, watch Yo Gabba Gabba, and stuff little animals when you have a child by your side.
And I love to use Ava for days such as this!
Ava is hit or miss.
She either loves something or she hates it.
There is never really an in between.
But she does love stuffed animals!
So, I was curious about this adventure.

We get in the store and I show her all the options.

She said "I want THAT ONE" to about 6 of them.

The more she looks around, the more she goes into ADD overdrive. She starts pushing THREE bear strollers at the same time.

I'm not kidding. That store looked like Hurricane Alex visited when we walked out. More like Hurricane Ava, I suppose.
She settled on....surprise, surprise.....a CAT!

Let's just say her cat obsession isn't hereditary.
Ewww!

Loving on her cat as best she can while being completely distracted by everything else in the store.

Next we gave the cat a bath.

Ava was not impressed with the lack of water, I might add! She kept saying "Waterrrr where ah youuu?"

After bath or "air" time, we picked out the cat's attire. I had a hard time finding three outfits that weren't all hoochie-fied. THAT IS SAD, Y'ALL!

I let her choose between three outfits I picked. I'm holding the other two in my hand. And even the leopard outfit was a little on the too-Miley-Cyrus-for-my-likings side. I was quite pleased with Ava's choice in the simple little summer dress.

I really wasn't surprised. Ava wants to wear a dress every day! Of course, she would pick a dress for her cat as well!

After the cat got clothed, we added the bows and the shoes!

She picked purple for both!

Lookin' good, Miss Cat!

Isn't that such a creative, original, one-of-a-kind name?
"Miss Cat"
Yes, I thought so too!
Hey, I was just impressed she knew how to name her in the first place, actually! I thought she would answer with "Name" if you want to know the truth! ;)

All paid up, and ready to take Miss Cat home!

And wouldn't you know it, that cat hasn't left her side since it left the store.
I'd say this adventure was definitely a hit!

SheShe Made

My photo
Ft. Worth, Texas
After having my girly girl in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on one of a kind boutique, monogrammed clothing (with hairbows to match), I decided it was time to learn this trade myself before I went broke! I learned how to sew, embroider, and make hairbows in a matter of 3 months. What started as a hobby has turned into a dream come true. I quit my job as a teacher and now work from home when the little one sleeps. My life as a mommy and a boutique clothing designer/manufacturer/monogrammer is truly the best of both worlds!! I have big dreams for the future of my family and the future of SheShe Made. Thanks for joining me as I blog about the journey. Let me know if there is a bow or outfit you'd like custom made for you! Email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com and thanks for stopping by!
