Keep checking back HERE for some of these new items....and MORE in the coming days.

Were you follower number 40?!?!

I have 4 followers almost at once, I am unsure who was 39 and who was 40. EEK!! Please email me at www.sheshebows@yahoo.com if you were my 40th follower. It is one out of two people that I am looking for. Whichever emails me first gets the golden ticket...er, a bow I meant.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas

Well, finally I am getting around to "celebrating" all that Christmas is about. Family, friends, cookies and sweets, Christmas trees, Santa Claus, shopping, wrapping gifts, and above all else...our Saviour's birth!
Here are some pictures of our "lightly decorated" house. We usually get more decorating done...but not so much with a curious toddler.

Our Christmas tree. I think I have all but maybe 5 presents wrapped. YIPPEE! Got all that done last night with some help from SIL! Phew!

Our mantle with our christmas cards. I don't know why, but I always put them up there for display. Tons get shoved to the back, but it's fun for me to get to look at them from afar all month long as opposed to being put in a basket or bowl. The stockings didn't get to hang this year due to a little girl wanting to pull on them. We didn't feel like an ER visit with a slashed open head sounded like much fun this month!

This is the corner of our bar. It is just two little lit trees (I like the look of lit trees without ornaments too) and special pictures. The far left one is of my parents one Christmas many years ago. I love it because it reminds me of the "good ol days when my dad was still living. He passed away when I was 15. Christmas has never truly been the same, although having Ava has been very close to it! The other pics are of Ava's Christmases thus far and an empty one awaiting this year's picture! I love the one of her sonogram. We found out she was a girl in December of 2007 and what a WONDERFUL Christmas gift that was!! I wanted a girl sooooo bad.

This is Ava's tree in her room. I bought this tree a few years ago and had it in my classroom. I had hoped to one day have a girl and use it in her room. So glad that came to fruition!

Here is our outside decorations. Not so pretty in the daylight, ha! We have clear and red lights on our house and then the bushes are all lit up, along with this little display of trees, presents, and an igloo minus the polar bear that went to Goodwill this year. He lost a leg and turned into a grizzly bear from the browning. Ha!

And this is Ava's artwork from the church nursery. It had a heart in the stocking, but I think I dropped it from chrch to our car. I am going to make another and add it to the top of the stocking and frame it. So sweet and special!

We went on the Polar Express train ride with Ava's cousin, Wyatt. It was so much fun! They enjoyed riding the "toooo toooo" as Ava calls it, and even Santa came for a visit in the end!

And this picture just makes my heart smile! Ava is obsessed with people in costume! And she is hugging Frosty here, which I find just adorable. She LOVES Frosty. Silly girl! Doesn't she know she lives in Texas and will most likely never see a "real" frosty in these parts of the country? And if she does, it won't be taller than about 7 inches and will melt within 24 hours.

Hope you enjoyed my picture-filled post. It was definitely time! I will add pics of my latest birthday outfits very soon!

Merry Christmas! Blessings to you this week and always!

Not my sewing room Monday!

Haha. So, I like to be different.
This post is titled "Not my sewing room Monday" because I can't believe the disaster this room has become! Eek!! Hubby keeps telling me I need to clean up my work station. Ha ha. Too bad all those piles are orders. And if only I had shown you the rest of the room...
So, my dear blog readers....This picture will hopefully explain why I may be taking a little hiatus.

I have GOT to get these orders complete. And I don't know where I will find the time. Why do we require sleep?!?!?
THANK GOODNESS I did get this order finished!

It is Christmas presents for 7 girl cousins. Although I had so much fun creating these gift sets for the girls, I am so glad to have them complete. It gives me such a feeling of accomplishment each time I finish an order and can sit back and look at the end product....and times that by 7 for this one! Phew!

Ok, back to work!!

The cutest turkeys you've ever seen

I asked moms to send me pics of their little turkey modeling SheShe Made clothing, and I am pleased as punch with these pictures!
It brings the biggest smile to my face to see little darlings modeling our clothing. What a sense of satisfaction. What a sense of gratitude! We have the BEST customers.
SO, without further ado...let's see those turkeys.

Here is one precious little model sporting the dress and a matching bow. She looks excited to be all dressed up. Hehe.

Isn't he a cutie pie?

And this model may look familiar. She is my favorite little chunk, and such a great little model!!

Love the matching bow that this precious babe is wearing! Cute.

I know the topic is all about turkeys (ha! yeah right), but just look at those smoochy lips! Love it!!

Is she not the most adorable thing?!?! Have I mentioned I love chunky babies! What a doll!

This tot is way more into her phone than a silly turkey. Gotta love a girly girl!

And here is the set that I custom made especially for Charli. Mom wanted tights and bows to match, and I really am kicking myself for not making Ava this set. Oh well, there's always next year!

Love this cute stuff! She accessorized the tights perfectly! And can anybody guess where she lives? Obviously in a warm climate! :)

Here is a handsome little buddy wearing his turkey shirt proudly!

And just look at his booty?!?!

HA! Hope he gobbled till he wobbled all day long with that little number!

Thanks again for sending in pics. If you still want to add your cutie to the post, email your pic at sheshebows@yahoo.com and I will be glad to add it!

of this week I will post all the pics.

I want to wait until the last possible minute to get some more pics in! So, if you sent me a pic, stay tuned! If you are planning on sending me a pic, please do so ASAP! THANKS and be back shortly!!!

SO THANKFUL THIS YEAR!

I have so much to be thankful for this year! One, being my wonderful family. Love my husband and punky girl more than LIFE itself!

I took a big risk in my decision to quit teaching and stay at home this year with Ava. And NEVER did I know back in May that by Novemeber this year I would be making ALMOST exactly what I made as a part time Pre-K teacher. WOW!! I get to let out my creative energy by making fun things, don't have to dress up and wake super early to "go to work" AND the best part being I get to play and spend time with Ava ALL DAY LONG. Whenever I want!
This is the BEST LIFE.
I get to have my cake and eat it too!

This little babe and I are headed on a plane tomorrow morning to visit some good friends in Minnesota.
NEVER BEEN THERE AND HOPING FOR SNOW!!!!!!

On my agenda for the next post?!?!? TURKEY DUDS!! Woo hoo! Send those pictures of your little darling in his/her Turkey gear to sheshebows@yahoo.com ASAP! Can't wait to see all the cuties!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING-

Go vote for Ava!

So, Kelly is having a "themed picture contest" over on her blog. The theme was "priceless moments" and I couldn't resist sending in the picture of my little darling sitting on the potty reading her National Geographic magazine.

If you get a second, go vote for her. She is #9. I think the pic is just too darn funny and I wish it weren't taken with my camera phone. BUT, had to capture that image quick!!

I'll be back later with pics of a birthday outfit I just did!

Craft Fair tomorrow!

If you live locally, in the Ft. Worth area to be exact, come out and see SheShe Made's booth at the Annual Craft Fair located at First Church of the Nazarene in Crowley. Click on the link and get directions to the event. There will be over 250 vendors so it should be pretty amazing! I've never heard of it until this year when a friend mentioned I should try it out...so try it out, I will!
It's from 9-4, free admission, door prizes, and concessions!
See ya there!!

Got Twins?

So, I have a friend that has two girls 15 months apart. Can you say oopsie? Not twins. No. But pretty darn close!
Her girls are the CUTEST and they make adorable models. She requested that I make her girls something for Christmas card material.
And so this is what she got....

She is using this on the backside of her cards. Pretty clever!
The front of their onesies look like this...

This is her little bundle and is she not the most precious chunk of love? I am partial to chubby babies!!

If you have twins or babes close in age, and you're interested in these onesies, they are available for purchase at sheshemade.com

Were you follower 25 or follower 30 of my blog????

If so, please email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com! This little follower tracker is harder to tell who the latest follower is as the numbers add up.
Not that I'm complaining.
But you people need your free bow! So, email me if you know FOR SURE that you were number 25 or 30!
No cheaters. Ha!
Ok, back to the sewing machine....
But let me add a picture just for good time's sake.

I've seen so many turkeys the past couple of weeks, I'm about turkey'd OUT! Got one more Turkey dress to make, for a total of 17 Turkey dresses made within the last 3 weeks.
Then, my friends....It's time to retire that old bird and move on to Christmas!

So I finally made her something

I originally wanted a sewing machine/enbroiderer so that I could make cute things with monograms on everything for Ava. Well, that totally turned out to NOT be the case. In fact, I still have a closet of stuff from backpacks to towels, shirts, and everything in between to monogram for my poor, mistreated, little orphan annie. HA!
Anyway, I made her this pink and brown polka dot set and I just love the way the pants fit her. And when she walks/runs in them....PRECIOUS!! I am a sucker for baby/kids clothes I tell ya!
We went to the "soo" (aka zoo) today and had such a fun time!! Every animal she saw she would say "Whoooooa!" so. flippin. cute.

Pointing to the "moneys" (aka monkeys)

Petting the bronzed baby elephant.

And petting the goat. She laughed every time the goat blinked. Such a funny little girl!

Wrapping up October

What a month! It has flown by way too fast. We have worked harder this month than any month so far, which scares me for the upcoming Holiday months. EEEK!
Good thing I just LOVE my job!
Wanted to close this month with some pics.
First off, this is a picture of a childhood friend's children. Aren't they adorable?!?! I made these matching frankenstein shirts for her and I am so happy to share them! Thanks, Lauren, for sharing!

Nest up, are pics of my family during the month. We went to a pumpkin patch and had a blast checking out all the various pumpkins and fall foliage.

Meet the Flinstones.

We went to our local zoo's Boo at the Zoo and dressed up as a family. We got tons of compliments, so of course I considered this year's costumes a huge hit!

And let me just tell you about this tutu....

The girl is OBSESSED! She absolutely loves wearing this "tooo" as she calls it. I had to pry it off of her to get in the bathtub. Meltdown city! But so cute at the same time. My friend Jenn made the TuTu for Ava's birthday present and it's a big hit in our house.

And yes, I design kid's clothing. NO! I do not desing pumpkin masterpieces. Sorry. I know it's boring. But it's cute and friendly and Ava loved it. So, I guess that counts for something, right?

Happy Halloween, y'all!!

A SheShe Christmas!!

The SheShe Made Christmas Clothing is UP! Check it out over at SheSheMade
We hope to be adding some boy's clothing, but as of now, there isn't as much of a demand and we simply don't have the time beyond what we are doing at this moment.
We will be taking orders through December 6th and then we are closing up shop for the holidays!
Here is a little preview of my little model doing what she does best...being annoyed with dressup and pictures. Ha!

THANKSGIVING LINE

Well, we aren't doing much as far as Thanksgiving duds go...since we are soo busy planning for an upcoming event (The First Church of Nazarene (in Crowley)Craft Fair), which is coming around the corner on November 14!! YIKES!!
However, here is the girl's "Girly Turkey Day Dress". It's a spinoff of the typical Turkey in browns reds and yellows. Inspired by some mom friends, it has a splash of pink which I think turned out just precious!

And then, here's the "Couture Turkey" for the boy! I love the colors of this in pale blues and brown.

I love the gobble butt!

And then I had Nichole request this for her 20 month old, who is obviously a little old for onesies. NO PROBLEM!! I just made his an outfit! Check it out.

So, we will be taking orders for these two pieces up through November 5th. Then, we are taking a break for the week to get ready for our Craft Fair.

In the mean time, we will be debuting the Christmas line VERY SOON. By soon, I mean in the next week or two. My goal is to have it all posted for my blog readers by next Wednesday! But that might be pushing it....
Then, we will add it to the etsy shop, with exclusives on our website!!

TO BE CONTINUED!!

Show Us Your Life

So, I'm doing a special "Show Us Your Life" post from over at Kelly's Korner. And I thought it would be fun to share some of what the "behind the scenes" looks like.

I work from about 1:00 to 3:00 during four days a week (nap times), and then again from 7:00-2:00(yes that is evening to early morning, folks). My hubby takes over duty two nights out of the work week so that I can get an early start. When orders are high, I work the 7-2 shift 5 days a week, and sometimes I'll do an entire Sunday work day.
This job, I have to say, is very addicting! I LOVE IT! I get so excited to do orders and it is a rush with each and every new one that comes my way!! Some nights I have to MAKE myself stay away from the sewing room/office so that I won't get lured in! I am being so serious, too!
Ok, so on to pictures...

This is a picture of THE MACHINE! This is a babylock and I just LOVE IT! No threading the needle, easy bobbin threading...it's just a very nice sewing machine/embroidery machine in general. I highly recommend it! Thje hubs bought it for me for my birthday and what a gift it turned out to be!! :)

These are just half of my font choices! I so badly need to add the others so that I can get it onto my website. BUT THAT TAKES A LOT OF EXTRA TIME that I don't have with the Holidays upon us. Soon!

The supply closet that is OVERLY STUFFED to the gills! The green box is my bow stash. These are the bows that I sell on Etsy and on the Website that are premade. I also take them with me to my booth sells. It is entirely depleated at the moment and needs to be re-upped. Soon!

This is the floor o' orders. The stacks are mostly completed or completed orders, along with some stack of Christmas fabric and Thanksgiving "turkey feather" fabric.
I need a little better organizational method for all of that, but for now, it works for me and I know what each stack is...until some little tot comes strolling in and decides she wants to use fabric as a "bankee".

The "work station" as hubby calls it! This is where I do my cutting, my stabilizing, my glueing, and my ironing.

This is another work in progress. This is a third of my ribbon that I use for bows and for embellishments on clothing. I just put this rack up the other day and have sooo many more spools to add to the collection.

The machine at work! It makes it look as if I just sit back, sip on some hot tea, and just watch it do it's magic. HAHAHA! I wish it were that simple. There is a multi step process to this, but for the most part...it is very much an amazing little diddy!
I want to give this here machine a name, since we are growing very fond of eachother. Any suggestions??? I thought of Bertha but that just doesn't have a nice ring to it.
Happy Friday to you all and check back soon for our Thanksgiving AND Christmas Lines!!

My photo
Ft. Worth, Texas
After having my girly girl in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on one of a kind boutique, monogrammed clothing (with hairbows to match), I decided it was time to learn this trade myself before I went broke! I learned how to sew, embroider, and make hairbows in a matter of 3 months. What started as a hobby has turned into a dream come true. I quit my job as a teacher and now work from home when the little one sleeps. My life as a mommy and a boutique clothing designer/manufacturer/monogrammer is truly the best of both worlds!! I have big dreams for the future of my family and the future of SheShe Made. Thanks for joining me as I blog about the journey. Let me know if there is a bow or outfit you'd like custom made for you! Email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com and thanks for stopping by!
