First off, Sheila is a little stinker isn't she?? That was the nicest thing she did and I am equally as blessed to have her!! Not many people can put up with my demanding nature, but she takes me (ALL of me) in stride every day. She is one of those friends that I know will ALWAYS be the best! Love her to pieces!!
We have had a CRAZY BUSY past few weeks in the McWilliams household.
It's been jam packed with so much fun for little miss Ava. Good thing for this weather has been less than desirable!
A few weeks ago Ava had a week full of ballet camp.
To say she loved it would be an understatement. She had such a great time and I knew she would. The girl loves to dance.
The girl loves music.
She loves ballet.
And she loves Swan Lake.
It was a week full of Swan Lake and each day I dropped her off she danced, ate a snack, and did a craft.
Is there really anything cuter than a little girl in ballet attire? I mean those ballet shoes. Sweet mercy!
On day three I picked her up and she was wearing a swan tiara she had made. Little princess!
On the last day they had a performance to show off what they learned during the week. I was very impressed!
We walked in the studio (us, Auntie, and Nee Nee) and she was so excited to show us her lipstick the teacher put on her.
Here is the video of her first part of the performance. In case you can't tell, Ava is the second from the left.
I still can't really figure out why the helper was showing Ava what to do? It looked like she was doing what all the other girls were doing. Oh well.
And here is the second part..
The end cracks me up that they were holding hands for so long! Precious girls.
Wasn't that pretty impressive for 3-5 year olds? For learning that in one week? I was amazed.
Here is Ava's ballet teacher, Ms. Rose.
Tiny little thing! I giggle because Ava is almost the same size as her!
I think I enjoyed getting Ava dressed each morning and putting her hair in a ballerina bun a little too much:)
My tiny dancer.
I'm so glad Ava had this fun week of ballet! She has been asking me when can she go back. Great news for her; she goes back in a few weeks for the fall semester!
And I hope each lesson poops her out just like this week did. I love anything to help her sleep just a little longer than usual.
The last two weeks have been just as fun and busy for Ava. Not much time for blogging but I'll be posting next about her other two week-long adventures!

Saturday
Our Saturday was slow and busy all at the same time.
Is that possible? Oh yes it is!
We slept in until 9:30, lounged around, and then went to the Farmers' Market. Our town has one every Saturday and We'd never been. We wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary, that didn't require being outdoors for too long in this scorching heat.
We bought just a few items to eat up in the next few days.

Ava picked out which basket of Cherries looked most delightful

And she carried them home!

We grabbed some lunch at one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants.

It's one that Casey James used to play at last summer too! Just had to mention that. :) I knew you were all dying to know!!
After nap time we decided to hit up the pool.

And let me just tell you that with the temp at 103, even the pool wasn't that refreshing today.
But we still had fun! A pool is better than no pool so I'm not complaining.

What is it about little wedgies in a swimsuit that's so adorable?!?! Love it!
We were playing "dive for mom's hair rubberband" and she LOVED that game.

She was good and worn out so we called it a wrap and she (of course) tried to walk off from us.

Just look at that face. I tell you! That child wears us out. In a good way...
I hope you're having a good weekend & staying cool!

Catching up
So, we have had quite a bit going on the past few days, along with an overnight trip to Dallas to see Aaron's sister. Also knows as "auntay".
On Thursday we went to our friends' pool for our first dip of the season.
Ava was so excited to get in the water!!

It was freazing cold, so we didn't stay long.
Then, that night was Aaron's school district's employee banquet. He and my BFF were nominated for Administrator of the year and Teacher of the year. So it was an exciting night. We dropped Ava off at my mom's and posed for a few pics before we left.

Katie and I were being cheesy in this one because my mom told us to pose like we did back in the sorority days. Whatever that is...Ha!

Aaron didn't win for the entire district, but Katie did. We were sooo excited for her huge accomplishment! Aaron went to pick up Ava and take her home while about 15 of us went out to celebrate. It was a fun night catching up with my old coworkers and friends!
Then on Friday Ava and I went to ride the train with our playgroup.

It was such a beautiful morning and Ava just loves the train!

We went at the perfect time, too, because 30 minutes after we left came a huge downpour!!
We ate lunch with NeeNee (my mom) and then headed home for a nap. When she woke up and daddy got home from work we took off to Dallas to see Auntay!

Every time we visit Auntay we eat at Mi Cocina. LOVE THAT PLACE!!

And then we went back to Auntay's place and played dress up in some of her tutus and leotards from when she was a little ballerina.
Ava loves to play ballerina!

She also loves to wear hats!

All kinds of hats.
And she loves to jump on beds. Grrr!

The following day we headed to a local park to take some pics of her in the latest SheShe Made peasant dress.

This is one of my favorites for sure!!!
I just love the color combo of lime and brown and floral and polka dots!

I'm trying to think of a cute name for this dress and need some help!
So, this is where you guys come in!!!
Let me know your thoughts...
