Size of baby: Size of a butternut squash

Maternity Clothes: yes please! I mostly wear dresses because it's just so much easier. I've added bike shorts under the dresses because...well...I'm sure I don't have to go there.
I have reached the point where my maternity clothes are getting tight. Thus, I don't want to wear anything but stretchy clothes 24/7.

Gender: it's a BOY! Judd Richard

Movement: All the time. And he feels SO BIG. He loves to remind me he is in there. You know, as if I'd forget!

Sleep: Sleeping better these days which I'm thankful for!
What I Miss: This week I miss being active and emotionally stable!!! Ava and I went school supply shopping at WalMart and Dollar Tree the other day and I was DYING by the time we got home. Back sore and knees aching. I mean, ridiculous. All I could think was "and I'm only 28 weeks pregnant. This is NOT supposed to happen yet." I also have been an emotional wreck. I get so impatient with Ava and am so sensitive to anything anyone says. I have cried more this past week than I've cried in a year. Fer reals. I keep apologizing to my family and Aaron just tells me "It's okay. As soon as Judd is out of that belly we will get you some Prozac and everything will be all better." Haha! I love that man.
Cravings: Chocolate milkshakes and avocado. I mentioned on twitter today that I LOVE pimento cheese and avocado sandwiches and a few people were disgusted with that. I don't like pimento cheese in the tubs you get at the store. No WAY! I only like homemade pimento cheese. And lucky for me, my mom made some on Monday. IT IS THE BEST. And I just add a few slices of avocado to it and I die. If you are a fan of either of these....try it together on toasted bread! YOU WILL THANK ME. PROMISE!!!!
Other latest craving is yogurt parfaits. I make it with granola, vanilla yogurt, and fresh blueberries. SO GOOD!

Symptoms: My joints are starting to hurt after working long days on my feet. Still not wearing my wedding ring due to the alergic reaction. Back is hurting at the end of the days. I just am so big and miserable. Already. I cannot wait to have this baby and lose this weight!!

Best Moment this Week: Love feeling him move, but the best moment this week was that it cooled down and we got some rain. YAY!!!! I am so ready for cooler weather.

Tiny Dancer

First off, Sheila is a little stinker isn't she?? That was the nicest thing she did and I am equally as blessed to have her!! Not many people can put up with my demanding nature, but she takes me (ALL of me) in stride every day. She is one of those friends that I know will ALWAYS be the best! Love her to pieces!!

We have had a CRAZY BUSY past few weeks in the McWilliams household.
It's been jam packed with so much fun for little miss Ava. Good thing for this weather has been less than desirable!
A few weeks ago Ava had a week full of ballet camp.
To say she loved it would be an understatement. She had such a great time and I knew she would. The girl loves to dance.
The girl loves music.
She loves ballet.
And she loves Swan Lake.

It was a week full of Swan Lake and each day I dropped her off she danced, ate a snack, and did a craft.
Is there really anything cuter than a little girl in ballet attire? I mean those ballet shoes. Sweet mercy!

On day three I picked her up and she was wearing a swan tiara she had made. Little princess!

On the last day they had a performance to show off what they learned during the week. I was very impressed!
We walked in the studio (us, Auntie, and Nee Nee) and she was so excited to show us her lipstick the teacher put on her.

I still can't really figure out why the helper was showing Ava what to do? It looked like she was doing what all the other girls were doing. Oh well.

The end cracks me up that they were holding hands for so long! Precious girls.

Wasn't that pretty impressive for 3-5 year olds? For learning that in one week? I was amazed.

I'm so glad Ava had this fun week of ballet! She has been asking me when can she go back. Great news for her; she goes back in a few weeks for the fall semester!
And I hope each lesson poops her out just like this week did. I love anything to help her sleep just a little longer than usual.

The last two weeks have been just as fun and busy for Ava. Not much time for blogging but I'll be posting next about her other two week-long adventures!

I have a LOUSY singing voice

You don't have to hear me sing to know this is true.  Just take my word for it; I can't carry a tune in a bucket.  And if you've ever even heard Ashley hum a tune from Yo Gabba Gabba, you've probably figured out by now that it's me, Sheila, hijacking the blog for a short post.  You may remember me from introducing myself waaaaayyyy back, or you may just know that I'm the other half of SheShe Made.  Or you may just be scratching your head saying, "Huh?  who is this crazy hijacker, and what has she done with Ashley?!?"


Rest assured, Ashley is safe, and hopefully at this time of night she's sound asleep as her little one dances and tumbles about in her belly, avoiding her bladder and letting her rest.

So, anyway, back to my singing voice.  It really is pretty awful.  I'll belt the tunes out along with Steven Curtis Chapman at the top of my lungs, but only in the company of people who already love me.  I tell you all this because I've popped in to do a little singing.  You won't have to actually listen, though, cuz I'm here to sing Ashley's praises for a bit.  I'll even post some random pictures that have nothing to do with my post.  I know it's more fun to see pics that break up the dreaded paragraphs of a blog.  :-)

I've been kicking these things around in my head for a while now, since I realized that on her birthday I was in a car driving through Oklahoma and didn't even give her a card--some friend!  But really, it's more like things that pop into my head on a daily or semi-daily basis, and I wanted to share them.

In a nutshell, the woman amazes me.  She loves her kids, her husband, and her job.  Those things may seem simple, but these days you don't always see someone who has all three.  :-)

Ashley takes every success of SheShe Made to heart, as well as any shortcomings.  I mean, she puts her heart and soul into each piece, and our customers are so important to her.  She stresses out regularly about need-by dates, and birthday party dates for special clothes, and finding perfect fabrics and colors, you name it. 

Ok, this pic of Gianna isn't totally random.  It is an example of the latest labor of love to choose perfect fabric combos!

You don't see this side of Ashley because she just wants to meet the needs of every person who wants to have something special for their child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or whichever special child is in the lives of our customers.  She knows so many of our customers by name, by face, by child's name--you name it.  She has a database going on in that head of hers and I have NO IDEA how she remembers it all, but she does!  It's because each and every one of our customers is so important to her.

Ok, these pics are fitting because this is called Balancing Rock.  And those are my kids holding it up.  See, I'm about to talk about balance...

Ashley is constantly trying to balance her work and family life, and she does a great job of it, though like most moms, she worries she does not do enough.  It has been such a joy for me to see Ava growing into the sweet, funny, and precocious little lady that she is!  Ashley does such a great job of making special time with Ava each day; I actually envy this.

As Judd grows bigger, Ashley grows...well, uh...bigger too, but that's not where I'm going with this.  :-)  She is slowing down, but she is determined to work as much as her preggers body will allow.  Though I regularly encourage her to nap, I don't think she does it much...

Lots of times as I sit at my serger or sewing machine, I think about how blessed I am with having this job, having the opportunity to be creative, and being able to walk side by side with a woman who trusts me to share in her vision and dreams.  I'm blessed to do what I do and who I do it for, but mostly by who I do it with. 

It all comes back to God, as most all things do.  His plans are amazing, and some day I'll pop in and tell you the really amazing story about how I came to work with Ashley, which led us to partner in SheShe Made--something I would never have forseen.

But for now, I'll pop out.  I just wanted to let you all, and Ashley, know how very blessed and grateful I am to have her as a friend and business partner.
       

25 weeks

How many weeks: 25!

Size of baby: Size of a rutabaga

Weight Gain: 18 lbs (clearly it looks like the latest 6 lbs went to my arms. ugh.)

Maternity Clothes: yes please! I mostly wear dresses because it's just so much easier. I've added bike shorts under the dresses because...well...I'm sure I don't have to go there.
Gender: it's a BOY! Judd Richard

Movement: Ok, if it's possible to have a more hyperactive child than Ava, it's gonna be little Judd man. He moves constantly!! Especially when I am still. He is my mover and shaker. WE. ARE. SCARED.
Sleep: Sleeping pretty good. I get a little freaked out at this point because I wake up on my back a lot which is a no no. Just upped my pillows from 2 to 6 (ok maybe just 4) to stop all that though. So far it's helping! I wake up super early and then get sleepy each day around 1pm. I am exhausted every afternoon and fight off taking naps like it's my job!

What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and my memory. I am so forgetful these days!! The pregnancy brain is no joke and I'm sure all involved with me these days are less than happy about my absent mindedness. I also miss bending over with ease. Now it seems like I always have to make some loud sigh as I am struggling to get up and down.
I also miss shaving my legs in the shower. I think this is the worst part about being pregnant in the summer. Even worse than battling the heat. But ask me again in a few weeks and I may change my mind.

Cravings: No cravings lately. I eat a lot of dairy, however. Cereal, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese foldovers. Yep.
Symptoms: My joints are starting to hurt after working long days on my feet. Still not wearing my wedding ring due to the alergic reaction. Other than that I feel great. I'd say I'm a bit more sensitive lately. Or at least this week. I have cried 538 times. Over the DUMBEST things.
Best Moment this Week: Watching him move all about my stomach. And watching Ava watch him and get so tickled. We also registered. That was fun!

J is for Judd and Jet

If you ask Ava what her mommy does for work she will tell you "She makes shirts".

Side note: This is far better than what she used to say. When we would ask her where daddy worked she said "At school".
Where mommy worked??
"In the bedroom."
ah Yes! Mom works in a bedroom. Correct.
Except totally not a good visual for those unaware of my occupation.
So we changed it to "mommy works in her office making clothes for babies and kids."
Now she says I make shirts.

She really is intrigued with my job lately & loves to ask me to make specific things. Her favorites have been the super hero shirt, the mermaid shirt, and the Dino onesie.

Ava is also intrigued with letters and the sounds they make. She talks about words and what they start with all of the time.
Let's face it. She is a principal and teacher's daughter. It's in her blood.

Anyhow...
Two nights ago we were laying in bed and she asked me what I was working on for the night. I explained and apparently that bored her. She told me she wanted me to make Judd a jet shirt. She said "Judd needs a jet shirt because J-j-Judd and J-j-jet both started with J."
Well of course! That's a perfect combination!

So, here is the latest onesie...

Life's a Beach {Destin Vacation}

We've been home for a week now and oh how we miss the snow white beach and turquoise waters of the florida panhandle. We had the best time!! I know I've basically recapped our trip in a previous post, so this one is mainy to share some of my favorite pictures. Thanks for indulging me!:)

Little miss priss was wayyyy too cool to smile for the camera. I mean she was at the beach and there were far more important matters for this 3 year old. Swim, ride waves, build sand castles. Who has time to smile for mom?

This year was the first that I caved and wore a hat. Getting sun on your face takes on a whole new meaning while pregnant! Ever heard of the "pregnancy mask"? I hadn't until I got it! Hormones plus sun are not a good combo. I look like Michael Jackson circa 1988.

Ava loved the pool a tad more than the ocean we think. She wanted to stay in the pool most of the day. I denied her request for obvious reasons, but mostly because the pool was too small and there were too many people in there. Yep. Not a big fan of peepee water. But we still smiled for a cute picture!

I seriously die over this picture!! It's my favorite. Any professional photogs out there want to edit this for me in exchange for some SheShe credit? Email me! For reals! Haha.  

I'm so excited Ava got to get her Crab Trap bucket of food. I did the same as a little girl and it was a sweet moment to see this come full circle. I am such a mush about things like this. I had the same thing here I ate 20 years ago on my last visit. Fried shrimp!

A playground on the beach? So cool! I told Aaron I wanted to bag up enough sand to take home with us and put on our neighborhood playground behind our house. The soft white sand in Florida is seriously unreal!

One afternoon before dinner Auntie put this little doo-rag on Ava and we thought she looked so cute. And so big too! Where did my little baby girl go? Gah.

We had fun going to various restaurants each night for dinner. This particular night we went to eat in Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. Aaron and I planned to eat at Bistro Bijoux for our anniversary but we felt bad leaving Ava and Auntie at home to feast on Totino's pizzas. So, we went to eat at Poppy's instead. It was decent. Not bad, but not our favorite for sure.

We match. Haha! I did not plan that.

After dinner and a little fun at Baytowne Wharf we went for a walk on the beach. A teeny tiny walk for this pregnant lady couldn't hang. I also wanted to get a few pics of her in this SheShe Made dress. It is so simple, but believe it or not, it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing that we sell right now. I adore it.

Another day at the beach!

We went to dinner at Seaside on our last night. Hands down our favorite evening! We ate at Bud & Alley's and once again, ate there as a kid many times so it was a stroll down memory lane. The place even smelled the exact same as I remembered. Yes, I recall weird things like that!

I was so excited to get beach pictures of us and as soon as dinner was over a massive storm rolled in. We had to snap pictures super quick and the best one was blurry. Sad face. So here is the next best one we got.

And speaking of sad face, you can't tell in this picture, but we were very sad to be leaving the beautiful beaches of Destin. Waiting for dad to drop off the rental car here.

I cannot WAIT for many more family trips to Destin/Seaside. We plan to drive next year and stay for a week. I am all over the place about taking a baby, so we will see about what happens. Either way, we are definitely going back!

Beach vacation part 1:cell phone pics

We went to the beach in Destin, Florida this past week and had an absolute blast! I have lots of pictures I want to share, but for starters (and until I upload my camera pics) I'll share what's on my phone.
Saturday morning, before our flight, we went to get donuts and pedis. I begged Aaron to go too and get his done. He laughed in my face. Boo!



Ava was scared at first by the sight of a man with a face mask on, putting lonnng curly nails on a lady. Haha! I can see where that would freak a little kid out a tad. In the end she loved her "teh-nails" as she calls them.

When we got to the airport Ava insisted on pulling the carryon. How big does she look?!?!



We ate dinner at Chili's to go in the terminal. I had my favorite buffalo chicken salad! This is Ava's favorite person besides me. Her "Auntie". She came with us!


Here is my excited girl, ready to fly! She has been on quite a few airplanes and she just loves to fly!!

The next morning we hit the beach around 10am after sleeping in from our long travel day/nightmare of airlines losing both mine and Aaron's luggage. Luckily Ava's was a carryon. I was not about to chance losing her luggage! Her clothing is far more important!!
Anyhow, she was having a ball!!


We got all dressed up and went out to dinner each night. Here she is outside our condo. She smelled this flower each time she walked past it.

Breakfast at The Donut Hole was a highlight of the trip. I loved that place as a kid and it was just as I recalled! Ava had fun stacking jelly and eating donuts!


And would you believe they had red velvet donuts?!?! Oh I need one now:(


The rest of the trip I forgot to use my phone. All I have are pics from our flight home...

Aaron and I were so sad to leave!!
