Happy Birthday MeeMaw

We had a very busy day today! Started off at 10:30. Yep! Hubs let me sleep way in today. I needed it since I went to bed at 2:30. I was making a sweet friend of mine's little boy a disney outfit for his upcoming disney trip.
We went to watch hubs play softball and then ate lunch at Rosa's, followed by an ice cream stop. Then, we rushed home to get ready for his MeeMaw's 90th birthday.

I love telling people that both of Aaron's grandparents are alive, still living at home, and they are 90 and 92.
Ava just loves MeeMaw and Pap-poo. Here she is so excited to see MeeMaw.

She talked about both of them the entire car ride there. It was precious!
So, Ava would not smile again for the camera. Except here.

The funny thing is, however, that she is not really smiling here. She was staring into space with a fake smile on her face. She looks a tad demonic to me. HA!! Poor babe didn't have a nap allll day. That never happens. So, she was a trooper!
Her favorite person in the world...her "Auntay". Again, being defiant and not smiling. I wish I knew a trick to get her to smile. She is so darn cute when she smiles for real. I've tried every trick I know. The best is getting her to make the monkey sound. It kinda looks like she is smiling when she does it. Although that technically does NOT count as a smile still. Oh well ;)

Cousins holding cousins.

Notice there are no pictures of me today. That's because, well, my face looks like that of a pizza. Am I 15 or 27?!?! I don't really know what's going on...but I'm here to tell you that I have a zit beard at the moment. I hope it goes away soon cuz it ain't great for the confidence. Especially when I have tons of baby showers and birthday parties going on lately. Ugggh!
Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!

A typical day for me.

Wow. This is going to be fun therapy for me. I am always trying to get my hubby to wrap his head around my crazy days and he gets sick of hearing it I'm sure...so now I get to share with all of you.
Ava wakes up in between 8-9:30. So that's when I get up too! She loves to play in her crib more than ANYTHING, well, besides making messes. So, that gives me time to wake up, check emails, and get dressed.
I then make her bfast and while she eats I empty dishwasher and clean kitchen and prepare a snack and sippy for our outing. I then get Ava ready for the day and we usually go out from 10:3-noonish. Our outings include fabric stores on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if I can wait that long, somewhere Ava friendly once a week (indoor play areas, playgroups, etc)and Music Class on Fridays.
Then we come home for lunch, she eats and then goes down for a nap from 1:00-3:00.
While she naps, I make the bed, pick up her disasters, and then rush to my sewing room to WORK WORK WORK for the two hours. I usually do all the embroidery during this time and no sewing. Sewing is for night since it takes longer and I like to be as productive as possible while feeling like I accompished something. Ha! I also use this time to return locals' phonecalls for orders, emails about custom items, etc.
When she wakes up we go to the park or for a walk.
Then I come home and make dinner while she watches Yo Gabba Gabba or Barney (gag). Soon after, daddy comes home and we all play together on the floor for 30 minutes and talk about our day. It's our ritual and I love it!!
Then it's dinner, cleanup, bath, playtime, and bedtime. She goes to bed in between 7:30-8:00.
I. NEVER. STOP.
Then, we watch our shows on three nights a week while I make bows until 10:00pm. After that, I go to the sewing room and sew outfits or do more monogramming/embroidery. I go to bed every night in between 1:00-3:00am.
Thats my days!!
Thanks for reading.
Gotta go finish dinner!!!

Does "Spring Fever" get you all excited for family portraits?

If you answered yes to all of these questions...
Then have I got an amazing offer for you.

For the months of March and April, if you purchase a sibling set of SheShe Made clothing, or spend more than $75, you will automatically be given a free portrait session from two fabulous photographers in one of these two locations.

Please check out these photographers and the amazing work they do. I can speak on behlf of both of them...they LOVE children and LOVE photographing them. You will not be disappointed. Take my word for it! Sarah Carlson took the great shots last weekend of our Spring Line and she has got the eye and patience like no other. She is located in the DFW area and all you locals will be very pleased with her product!
Violet Kiggins is my good friend from San Diego and she has been capturing amazing images of her daughter since the day she was born, and hasn't put her camera down since! She also prefers children over any other subject and her creativity is one of a kind.

Here is how it will work...
Upon purchase, you will need to leave me a note in paypal simply stating "PHOTO DFW" or "PHOTO SD" along with your email address. I will then forward your email address to either Sarah or Violet and they will contact you to set up a session date.

Model MONDAY!

I'm pleased to show off this week's model Monday as I have actually met this little cutie. She and her mom came to one of our booths back in November. She has grown up quite a bit since then. Here is little miss Kynlie wearing the wild valentine dress with matching bow. Thanks again, Christie for sending me the pictures and for always posting about SheShe Made on your blog.

SheShe Made

My photo
Ft. Worth, Texas
After having my girly girl in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on one of a kind boutique, monogrammed clothing (with hairbows to match), I decided it was time to learn this trade myself before I went broke! I learned how to sew, embroider, and make hairbows in a matter of 3 months. What started as a hobby has turned into a dream come true. I quit my job as a teacher and now work from home when the little one sleeps. My life as a mommy and a boutique clothing designer/manufacturer/monogrammer is truly the best of both worlds!! I have big dreams for the future of my family and the future of SheShe Made. Thanks for joining me as I blog about the journey. Let me know if there is a bow or outfit you'd like custom made for you! Email me at sheshebows@yahoo.com and thanks for stopping by!
